Teaching Philosophy
Being an educator is endlessly messy—it is imperfect and fluid. It is unlearning, learning, and re-learning all at the same time. The connections we make with our students, our community, and our school as educators remain at the heart of all this beautiful messiness. Connection fuels student motivation and promotes subject retention.
I believe in creating a classroom environment that connects students to their peers, educators, and community members by encouraging collaboration, centering linguistic justice, cultivating a brave space, and prioritizing transparency with students.
